Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the heart and soul of the Food Bank. We have weekday and weekend volunteer opportunities—perfect for individuals and groups—helping prepare food donations for distribution and distributing food at mobile food pantries.

  • Volunteer in our Warehouse

    Get a behind-the-scenes look at how donated food gets from the community to Central Texans in need. You'll inspect, sort, clean, box and prepare donations for distribution.

  • Volunteer in our Community Kitchen

    Help make a difference in the lives of thousands of Central Texans by working with our kitchen staff to support our on-site food preparation for multiple meal programs, including Kid's™ Cafe and Summer Meals.

    The Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) is looking for volunteers for our onsite food pantry who can provide one-on-one, direct assistance to clients receiving “Food for Tomorrow”.

  • Transcription Volunteer

    The Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) is looking for transcription volunteers to help our Strategic Insights team. Supervised by the Food Bank’s Research Manager, volunteers will transcribe recorded audio conversations from Community Needs Assessments into written text.
