Austin, TX – The Austin Reggae Festival, to be held on April 18-20 at Vic Mathias Shores on Lady Bird Lake (a.k.a. Auditorium Shores), is the longest running and most impactful community fundraiser for the Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB). Launched in 1994 in the spirit of Bob Marley, the event brings Austin together for good music, good fun and a sense of giving back with a portion of every ticket sold going to the food bank.

Funds raised at the festival help power programs that serve more than 93,000 Central Texans each week, ensuring reliable access to nutritious food. Since inception the iconic event has raised enough funds to provide 10 million meals to our neighbors in need.

"We are deeply grateful to the Austin Reggae Festival for 30 incredible years of bringing our community together in the spirit of music, joy, and compassion. The generosity of festivalgoers and the support of the event organizers help fuel our mission to provide Central Texans with immediate and equitable access to nutritious foods. Together, we are creating a stronger, more nourished community,” Mark Jackson, Chief Development Officer the Central Texas Food Bank.

The event features performances by renowned reggae artists, including Anthony B on Saturday, April 19, and Third World on Sunday, April 20. Food vendors include a variety of local chefs offering vegan, vegetarian, and traditional options. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting austinreggaefest.com.

About the Austin Reggae Festival
The Austin reggae community converged for the first time on May 7, 1994 at Auditorium Shores in downtown Austin to pay tribute to the late great Bob Marley. The show was free, but patrons were asked to contribute to the then “Capital Area Food Bank.” The now three-day event is held every April and has become the longest running festival in Austin at Auditorium Shores. More importantly, it has donated more to the Central Texas Food Bank than any other event in the past 30 years. For more information, visit austinreggaefest.com.
