A Legacy of Giving Day of Service
In November, students from more than 36 local schools participate in A Legacy of Giving’s month-long food and coat drive while learning about poverty, homelessness and hunger. The grand finale of their philanthropic studies comes together at the Food Bank where the students unload the food and coat donations they’ve stored in PODS. This year’s drive set a new record for donated food – more than 46,000 pounds! Since 2006, Legacy students have contributed 9,000 coats and 150,000 pounds of food to the Central Texas community.
