With kids at home, now for months due to COVID-19, we understand that it can be hard for families to keep up with their hearty kids’ appetites. The Food Bank can help make meal times less stressful for families with strained budgets. Each day, our kitchen team makes fresh healthy meals prepared especially for kids to help them grow big and strong.
This summer we’ve partnered with Austin Parks and Recreation, Foundation Communities and Austin YMCA to provide free, weekly meal packs for children ages 18 and under through August 14. Parents or guardians can pick up a meal pack that contains meals for the entire week—that’s seven breakfasts and seven lunches, with milk.
Parents and guardians may also pick up meal packs without their children being present by showing one of the following:
- Official letter/e-mail from school listing children enrolled
- Individual student report cards
- Attendance Record from parent portal of the school website
- Birth certificate for a child not in school
- Student ID cards
