It’s time to bring together visitors and locals to celebrate the Reggae spirit at the annual Austin Reggae Festival – the year’s biggest fundraiser benefiting the Food Bank. We’re back along the banks of Lady Bird Lake at Auditorium Shores, with ample space for music, food, arts and crafts, spectacular scenes, delightful scents, and excellent people watching. Lee “Scratch” Perry, King Yellowman, The Ska-tallites, Alika, Black Slate, New Kingston and others headline at this year’s festival on Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19.
At only $15 per day for advanced tickets or $40 for a three-day wristband, this festival is a great deal and a great way to support your community. Last year, tens of thousands of people brought their good vibes and donations which raised more than 475,000 meals for Central Texans in need. Over the last five years, the event raised more than 2.8 million meals!
Our Top Tips
Save some cash. Your best bang for your buck is to purchase a three-day wristband. Not only will you save money, but you’ll also be able to leave and re-enter the festival whenever you like. Save on single day tickets by purchasing them online and at Planet K locations in Austin, San Marcos and San Antonio. Only single-day tickets will be sold daily at the gate for $20 per person. Children younger than 12 years old are free to enter. Purchase tickets online.
Tents are so 2013. Just like last year, there will be no tents allowed at the festival. Stay cool, shaded and sunburn-free by bringing a sealed container of water, hats, sunscreen and a personal-sized umbrella. Look for us at the front entrance where we will be handing out fans to anyone who donates to the Food Bank.
See you at the festival!
