River of Life Community Food Pantry

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) serves adults age 60 and older who meet specific income guidelines, found here. Once enrolled in the program, participants receive a 30lb box of shelf stable grocery items and box of cheese each month. Those interested in applying for the program attend a distribution and complete an application, which will be valid for three years. Anyone interested in participating but unable to attend a distribution can designate a proxy to pick-up on their behalf.

For CSFP services, individuals must be at least 60 and provide an ID with proof of age in order to enroll in the program. No proof of income is required. Delivery only available at select sites, contact the Central Texas Food Bank to apply for sites offering home delivery. Healthy Option Program for the Elderly (HOPE) serves adults age 55 and older. At any HOPE distribution, clients will receive about 20 pounds of non-perishable food. Exact contents will vary month to month but usually include items such as canned protein, milk, pasta, beans, canned vegetables, and more. Anyone interested in participating but unable to attend a distribution can designate a proxy to pick-up on their behalf.

For HOPE services, no ID or proof of income are required to receive HOPE. Those who qualify for other food assistance programs may qualify for HOPE.
