Join the Red Shed Tavern for their 5th annual Chili Cook-off to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. It's $10 to enter and they're capping it to only 12 entries. Participants must have their entry fee ready to pay upon signing up - no exceptions.
Contestants can cook up their favorite chili recipe, whatever kind they like (beans, no beans, beef, pork, chicken, veggie, tofu) and bring it in a crockpot to the bar at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday January 18th. The bar will open at 1:00 P.M. and all entries must arrive by 1:30 P.M. The judging starts at 2 P.M. and then tasting and voting for the People's Choice Award will follow. Cash prizes and major bragging rights will be given to the winners.
For just $5, taste the entries and vote for your favorite. It's only $3 to dip your spoon in chili-goodness when you bring two healthy, non-perishable food items to donate to the Food Bank. Texas crafts pints are only $4 all day.
