Before You Go

Hours, availability and distribution methods can vary by location. Check the information provided for your selected location before visiting. We recommend calling the pantry to verify.

Some locations offer prepacked groceries, while others provide a market-style experience where you can choose from available foods.

What Will I Need?

You will never be asked to pay for food. No matter what information you can or choose to provide, we will help connect you with food.

What you’ll be asked for may vary by program and location. For example:

  • CTFB Mobile Pantry distributions do not require registration or ID.
  • Many food distributions do not require proof of income.
  • Some partner locations may ask for basic household information or ask you to complete a short intake form.
  • Some programs have specific eligibility requirements. You may be asked for information such as your household size, income or where you live to determine whether you qualify for certain foods or programs.
  • You do not have to provide information about citizenship or immigration status to receive food assistance.
  • Food is always provided at no cost. You should never be asked to pay a fee, make a donation or attend a religious service to receive food.

If you choose not to provide information required for a specific program, such as TEFAP, you may still be able to receive other available food that does not have the same eligibility requirements.

Before you go: Check the listing for the location you plan to visit for details about eligibility, hours and what to expect.
