The Holiday Sing-Along and Downtown Stroll is a free family-friendly event that celebrates the arrival of the holiday season with singing and special holiday activities. Arrive early for live music, a holiday market, photos with Santa, kids play area, food trucks, special anniversary photo-ops and more. The festivities start at 6 p.m. when crowds gather at the south steps of the Capitol to sing songs of the season led by KUTX and KUT. At 7 p.m. the countdown to the lighting of the Capitol tree begins, featuring a programmed light show set to songs by local musicians.
The holiday cheer continues until 10 p.m. during the holiday stroll down Congress Avenue where shops, restaurant galleries and museums feature special activities.
Stop by the Food Bank table to purchase a shirt, get your holiday cards and learn all about fighting hunger this holiday season.
